Strong position in the High & Heavy area

The Bremerhaven Auto Terminal has a High and Heavy area measuring 340,000 m² (20,000 m² of that covered) with state-of-the-art cargo handling equipment.

It includes
- a 100 t port mobile crane
- 2 reach stackers with a lifting capacity of up to 80 t
- various forklifts and stackers with a lifting capacity of up to 40 t
- a 600 t floating crane/mobile crane for up to 400 t

Aside from providing conventional general cargo handling services, the High and Heavy terminal serves as the central Mafi packing station for the biggest ro-ro shipping companies in the world, such as WWL, EUKOR, ARC, K-Line, Höegh, MOL, CSAV and NYK. Various feeder services and freight ferries call at Bremerhaven parallel to overseas traffic. They include KESS, MannLines, UECC and van Uden. Other focal points are loading and unloading inland vessels and coastal motor vessels as well as loading and unloading trucks and railway wagons. In addition, all types of self-propelled or rollable units, such as trucks, trailers, tractors and construction machinery, are handled and stored by specially trained personnel.

Besides the actual cargo handling, the BLG Auto Terminal offers a wide variety of additional services. They include:

Washing equipment and accessories up to a unit weight of 100 t, also in accordance with AQIS* standard
Preservation
Assembly work on the goodsTransport/transfers within the port
Arrangement of pre-carriage and post-carriage shipments
Transport protection work with stretch wrap or self-adhesive foil
Setting boats afloat in water
Facilities permitting helicopters to land and take off
