Duisburg

The Duisburg location has a capacity of 7,000 vehicles on an area of 170,000 m². 65 employees take care of handling, storage and technical work as well as preparation of used vehicles. The annual cargo handling capacity is around 180,000 vehicles. The vehicles come via truck or on their own wheels from all over Germany or by rail from the European production plants. The terminal provides storage, transshipment and in some cases technical services for the vehicles on behalf of the automobile manufacturers.

The trimodal terminal has water, rail and road connections. For these means of transportation it is equipped with two sidings, including two end loading ramps for unloading railway wagons, a heavy-duty ro-ro ramp for inland vessels as well as a road connection directly to the highways in North Rhine-Westphalia.

Technical centre

Work of a high technical quality is performed on vehicles of diverse makes at the Duisburg location. The technical center, measuring 5,000 m², is equipped with a fully automatic car wash line and is capable of removing copolymer and paraffin wax protection.

Furthermore, the technical center has three combined spray booths with a remote-controlled hoist truck system in the painting section and several car hoists in the mechanical section. The equipment there enables all kinds of technical work according to the manufacturer’s specifications. In addition, vehicles can be provided with a finish according to the customer’s demands, whatever the scope, in the preparation section.

The range of services at the Duisburg location extends from inspections, repairs, installation of extras (such as navigation and entertainment equipment, sun roofs, etc.) all the way to modifications. Moreover, the facility performs dewaxing work, professional vehicle care and preparation, window repair as well as partial and complete painting work. Smart repair work and so-called cold pressing round off the services provided by the Duisburg terminal.
