Cagliari International Container Terminal (CICT) is situated close to the capital of Sardinia.  From here it is a maximum of 400 nautical miles to the major container ports of southern Europe and North Africa, which can be reached speedily and smoothly by feeder ships.

CICT has been a part of Eurogate / Contship Italia Group since March 2003 and it started operations in May of the same year.  Together with its sister terminal in Gioia Tauro, Calabria, it is the centre of transhipment in the Mediterranean.

With a quay length of 1,520 m, CICT has a handling capacity of 1,500,000 TEUs.  Its mild climate and naturally sheltered position mean ideal working conditions 365 days a year on an operating area of 400,000 m².
