The container terminal of LISCONT Operadores de Contentores S.A. lies on the Atlantic, in the westernmost port of Europe – Lisbon.  It is favourably located at the point where various much-used trade routes cross and was developed in 1984 by EUROKAI, one of EUROGATE’s parent companies.

The LISCONT terminal has a number of deep-water channels and is the only terminal in Portugal able to handle large container ships on inter-continental routes.

With intermodal transport systems by road and rail, it is the access point to the Portuguese hinterland, with a market of more than 50 million consumers.

This port has an operating area of 120,000 m², providing handling capacity of 320,000 TEUs a year.
